Bombardier shares fell 7% to C$293.49 on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) on Tuesday morning before regaining some later in the day. It’s the first trading day since the president floated a ban on Bombardier jet sales in the U.S. over the Labour Day weekend.
Analysts say it’s not clear what legal mechanism this American administration would use to stop the company from exporting into the U.S. Bombardier jets are cleared for sale in the U.S. under certifications obtained by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
