NATO to share responsibility for Greenland security

Denmark, Greenland and the US are set to sign a deal on Greenland’s security at the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday morning.

Denmark says the agreement will put Arctic security under NATO’s watch rather than leaving it solely to US and Copenhagen.

A NATO spokesperson said the alliance welcomed the agreement, which would “help advance security, stability and cooperation in this vital region.”
