Counter Terrorism Policing said the five men were all British nationals from London. Their ages ranged from 23 to 25. In keeping with British police policy, the names of suspects are not released until charges have been filed.

“The nature of this investigation means significant numbers of resources, including military assets, remain deployed at the location, and we thank the public for their ongoing support. We are working hard to minimize disruption to local communities, but ask for their patience, as our work continues at the scene,” said Deputy Assistant Commissioner Vicki Evans, who is the senior national co-ordinator for the CTP.
The police added that “at this time, we are working to establish the full circumstances of the activity of those arrested, their knowledge and any motivation behind this incident.”
